Very useful toolkit that significantly speeds up academic writing. It really helps overcoming the well-known writers block by allowing to write in a less academic way and transforming it to scientific English. It does so better than traditional ChatGPT (in my opinion). I currently advise all my colleagues and students to use it if they are having difficulties formalizing their text. Only small comment is that really field-specific terms are often flagged as wrong. But apart from that I am completely happy.

Useful toolkit for significant improvement of projects written in Overleaf. The toolkit helped me to achieve dean award for excellent diploma thesis :).

A really great tool

One is bound to make some grammatical or spelling mistakes when typing long articles on computer. A really great tool to sort out those mistakes and even improve the quality of the language in your articles.

Often times, it gives pretty good suggestions on the fly. Improves clarity of the sentences. Very useful.

Writefull is a great tool that is tightly integrated with Overleaf. Additionally its recommendations are spot on. Looking forward to its integration with an Gen AI agent.

This extension has been incredibly helpful and has greatly enhanced my productivity in paper-writing. I'm very happy that it understands latex, and I was able to use it to generate complex latex tables and sub-figure plots. I find the "paraphrase" feature especially helpful - if not as a final product, at least as a good starting place for me to edit my writing. Would highly recommend.

I had been using Writefull over two years. It was very good to use before ChatGPT and Overleaf's support for Grammarly. The paraphrasing was great and accurate without any distortion of my expression. But it changed when ChatGPT break out, I felt it was hurried to chase the GPT models and left a lot of flaws. The AI part was no longer usable and always distorted my original meanings.

Generally speaking, writefull is just as good as what I need from Grammarly free account and nothing more. I have bought the premium subscription and only use it with Overleaf. Maybe there are more functions I have not been able to use. But the functions I tried do not work as I expect. The auto-generate abstracts function does not work, saying that the paper is too long. The auto-generate titles function does not work either, saying that there is no abstract when there is a clear part for abstract in latex file. The response speed of the extension in Overleaf is even lower than Grammarly. For instance, when I modify some texts as prompted by Writefull, it sometimes takes a minute for Writefull to re-read the whole text and then I could click on the next prompt. In short, writefull is not what I expect as an AI tool.

Writefull is perfectly integrated with Overleaf. It suggests language revisions that suit an academic setting, which is my most favorite part about Writefull.

Really love this extension. The language edits are more advanced than those of other tools, and you also see that it's made for scientific texts. I didn't experience any of the slowness that some people reported, never had issues with loading or Overleaf going slower. Some of the widgets are nice-to-have but I don't find myself using them often, like the generator for titles and abstracts. But the paraphaser is really good and texgpt is super helpful with the Latex part. I hope they add the academizer to this tool soon too.
